I am 93 years old, A GOOD 93, I’m Blessed! At 92 I finally gave in and decided to get hearing aides, after spending $5000., I was extremely disappointed, the place I was sent to by my insurance company was unkept, the audiologist treated me like I was on an assembly line, he charged me $50.00 every time I walked in the door with a question or problem, I always felt like I was bothering them, my concerns we’re not addressed and they never worked right! I was truly discouraged, I felt I was ripped off, I understood why all the people say they just keep them in a drawer and swore NEVER AGAIN!
My children all insisted I give it another shot, yes I’m 93 but I have a long life ahead and I deserve to hear what’s going on around me. Not being able to hear truly makes you feel isolated, even though your surrounded by people, not hearing makes you feel left out, lonely and uncomfortable. This past July, I was wearing my hearing aids and while I was golfing I got hit in the head with a golf ball because when the guys teeing off yelled FORE, I couldn’t hear any of them, not being able to hear is Not Safe!
I knew it could be another costly mistake but I decided to give Long Island Hearing in Levittown a chance, I knew the the building had been on Hempstead Turnpike for at least 30 years and thought/hoped they must know what they are doing!
The entire staff at LI Hearing goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, From the moment I called to make the appointment, they were extremely accommodating! The greeting I received when I walked in the door was friendly & cheerful, they made me feel welcomed!
The reception area was well kept! The office was clean and organized!
My appointment time was precise!
The Instrument Specialist, Jennifer, was Kind~Caring~Thorough~Thoughtful and Understanding, I’ve had my New Hearing AIDS for 2 weeks now and I can tell you it’s like I’ve gotten my first pair because these work, I can hear! Thank you Jennifer, You Are SIMPLY THE BEST!
